El Mejicano Tex-Mex Grill

The chips and salsa were DELICIOUS! This may have been the best salsa I’ve ever had, but be warned, only one round of chips and salsa is free, after that, you will be charged $4.50 for refills. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He helped answer all of our questions and make recommendations. The food was tasty, but the shrimp tacos were a little light on the contents. The atmosphere was cozy, however seemed a little dirty and dusty.

Fantastic service and even better food! The waiter was very nice towards my family and with every request we made, he delivered. I tried the ribeye steak and it was phenomenal. Will definitely be coming back with my girl for our anniversary.

Only rating it a 4 as we ordered out and can’t judge the atmosphere or service, BUT the food was great. The chorizo burrito and chipotle chicken burrito were one of best burritos we tried; The birria tacos were okay, but still not a bad option. They gave us a large bag of chips with our order as well with guac and salsa, which we all loved.

I took my party of 15 to El Mexicano in Denville for my wife's birthday. It was my first time going to the restaurant. The decore is cheeky Mexican and full of various Mexican paraphernalia. They accommodated us into a semi private area off to the side. It was more that spacious to seat all of us. The food was authentic Mexican with great flavors. Me and my party all complemented the food. The chips and salsa were excellent and so good that you're in danger of filling up on just them. The guacamole was delicious and fresh. In all it was a everything you expect from a family owned restaurant... Great food and awesome personal service. I will definitely be going back

We've been going to this restaurant many times, and it always hits the spot. The food tastes like it's made with love, super fresh, and homemade. The portions are just right and the prices are fair. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. If you're in the mood for amazing Mexican food, definitely check this place out!
